Out of nowhere, an intact duplicate of the destroyed DeLorean time machine appears in outside of Doc's lab, part of the machine's emergency return protocols; Marty comes to learn this was an exact duplicate of the time machine created when the lightning storm struck it in 1955 (from the end of Back to the Future II).
